Description
Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Bangladesh, the Adhara Planter is woven from natural seagrass using traditional techniques. Once harvested, the seagrass is dried and twisted into rope before being worked by hand into its shallow, gently tapered form.
The closely woven construction gives the planter a sturdy, textural finish, while the warm natural tones of the seagrass bring depth and character to the surface. As each piece is individually woven by hand, subtle differences in colour, weave, shape and size are to be expected and are part of its handcrafted beauty.
Styling Inspiration
Use the Adhara to soften the look of smaller houseplants, herbs or trailing greenery on shelves, side tables and windowsills. Its natural texture pairs beautifully with terracotta, timber, linen and stoneware, making it easy to layer into relaxed coastal, rustic, Scandinavian and contemporary interiors.
For a more collected look, group it with planters in different shapes and materials, allowing the woven seagrass to add warmth and contrast among ceramic and terracotta pieces.
Care Instructions
Designed as a decorative planter cover, the Adhara should be used with a waterproof inner pot or liner to protect the natural seagrass from moisture. Avoid direct contact with water, soaking or prolonged damp conditions. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or vacuum with a brush attachment, and keep away from prolonged strong sunlight to help preserve the natural fibres.
